Kimberley is the Director and Approved Provider of Excellence in Care, driving a culture where child safety, ethical practice and quality education are at the forefront. She oversees the governance, compliance and operational systems that support educators in providing safe, nurturing and engaging environments for children. Working closely with the Nominated Supervisor and coordination team, Kimberley balances strategic leadership with a clear focus on real-world practice, ensuring Excellence in Care remains a trusted, accountable and supportive service for children, families and educators.

Paul Diefenbach - Approved Provider / Director

Paul, Acting Director of Excellence In Care, works alongside Kimberley to lead with integrity and innovation. Drawing on more than a decade of experience as an educator’s partner, he understands the crucial role families play in every child’s learning journey. Paul oversees all technical IT issues and configures our back-end systems to empower the team with the tools they need to innovate. His collaborative approach, deep insight into family dynamics and unwavering dedication ensure our team delivers exceptional education and care that truly nurtures each child’s development.

Kylie Smith - Nominated Supervisor

As Excellence in Care’s Nominated Supervisor, Kylie anchors the day-to-day operation of the service—bringing together educators, coordinators and admin staff under a shared commitment to quality and child safety. She partners closely with the Approved Provider to interpret legislation and the NQF in real, practical ways, ensuring our policies, practices and decisions always put children first. Known for her calm presence, transparent communication and genuine care for people, Kylie guides the EIC team to stay accountable, reflective and continuously improving so every child, family and educator feels supported.

Jodi Campbell - Support Coordinator

Jodi is Excellence In Care’s Support Coordinator, working closely with our Nominated Supervisor to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. She conducts educator visits, welcomes new and prospective educators into the EIC family, and provides practical guidance around quality, safety and compliance. With a strong background in safety, emergency planning and administration, Jodi is a trusted support for both our office team and the field. Her calm approach, clear communication and commitment to collaboration help ensure every educator feels supported and every child and family benefits from a well-coordinated service.

Yvonne - Support Coordinator

Yvonne Stewart - Support Coordinator

Yvonne is Excellence in Care’s long-term part-time Lead Support Coordinator and a familiar, trusted name to many of our educators. Working closely with Rachael, she supports the day-to-day flow of enquiries, childcare fees and admin, overseeing iPay, HubWorks and related systems. Yvonne also steps in on more complex situations alongside the Nominated Supervisor, helping to keep information accurate, processes on track and educators well supported.

Rachael Atkinson - Support Coordinator

Rachael is Excellence in Care’s full-time Support Coordinator and first point of contact for our community. She warmly greets families and educators by phone, supports them with day-to-day enquiries, and manages new and ongoing enrolments with care and accuracy. Rachael also oversees our core administrative emails and office processes, helping to keep information flowing clearly between our team, educators and parents. With her friendly manner, strong organisational skills and commitment to excellent service, Rachael plays a key role in ensuring every interaction with Excellence in Care feels supported, informed and valued.

Sue is Excellence In Care’s Field Coordinator, providing hands-on guidance and support to educators both locally and across our northern regions, including Mackay and Moranbah. She visits each home-based setting to mentor, assess and support good practice, ensuring our high standards of safety, quality and child-focused care are consistently met. Sue also shares practical ideas and resources from her visits and professional learning to support educators in their everyday work.
